AtkinsRéalis is seeking an experienced HSEW Officer in Riyadh to promote safety, health, and environmental standards on our projects. You will monitor site activities, conduct inspections, assess risks, and implement permit-to-work systems to ensure regulatory compliance.

You will lead trainings, investigations, and reporting, liaise with authorities and clients, and contribute to KPI-driven safety culture. English fluency is required; Arabic is a plus.

Qualificações

• Bachelor's degree or diploma in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 10 years of HSE experience in construction, infrastructure, industrial, or engineering projects.
• Professional certifications such as NEBOSH IGC, IOSH Managing Safely, OSHA, or equivalent are preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Monitor daily site activities to ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental, and wellbeing requirements.
• Conduct routine workplace inspections and audits to identify hazards and unsafe conditions.
• Implement and enforce HSEW policies, procedures, and permit-to-work systems.
• Carry out risk assessments and support the development of mitigation measures.
• Investigate accidents, incidents, near misses, and unsafe acts, and prepare detailed reports with corrective actions.
• Deliver site safety inductions, toolbox talks, and awareness training programs.
• Monitor contractor compliance with project-specific HSEW requirements.
• Ensure proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and safety equipment.
• Maintain accurate HSEW records, inspection reports, and regulatory documentation.
• Coordinate emergency response drills and support emergency preparedness activities.
• Monitor environmental aspects including waste management, pollution prevention, and resource conservation.
• Promote employee wellbeing initiatives and contribute to a positive safety culture.
• Liaise with regulatory authorities, clients, and internal stakeholders on HSEW-related matters.
• Track corrective and preventive actions to ensure timely closure.
• Support management in achieving project HSEW objectives and KPIs.

Overview

The HSEW (Health, Safety, Environment & Wellbeing) Officer is responsible for promoting and maintaining a safe, healthy, and environmentally compliant workplace. About you

• Ability to conduct safety training and toolbox talks effectively.
• Strong observation, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and HSE reporting systems.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams.
• Fluency in English; Arabic language skills are an advantage for projects in the Middle East.
