KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

Policy Development: Formulate and implement comprehensive HSE policies, standards, and strategies to achieve full compliance across the organization.

Legal Compliance: Ensure strict adherence to all HSE legal requirements by reviewing credentials, licenses, and permits, while maintaining strong relationships with regulatory authorities.

Performance Metrics: Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and targets for HSE, fostering a culture of accountability throughout all departments.

Audit and Inspection: Develop and manage an HSE audit system, conducting regular inspections of facilities, machinery, and equipment to identify hazards and ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations.

Safety Inspections: Conduct thorough safety inspections to proactively eliminate unsafe conditions within the workplace.

Awareness Campaigns: Drive HSE awareness campaigns across facilities to promote safe practices and encourage positive behaviors.

Certifications: Lead initiatives for obtaining certifications such as ISO 14000 and OHSAS 18000, while staying informed on current policies and industry standards.

Committee Leadership: Establish and oversee an HSE committee focused on enhancing performance, while compiling, analyzing, and reporting on HSE statistics and KPIs on a monthly basis.

Accident Investigation: Ensure comprehensive investigations of all incidents, identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions to prevent future occurrences.

Qualifications

  1. Previous solid experience within HSE field
  2. Knowledge of HSE Management Systems
  3. Familiar with international & local regulatory requirements
  4. Science or Engineering Graduate (with NEBOSH IGC or Equivalent)
  5. Computer knowledge & Good English Language.
  6. Minimum 5-10 years Industrial experience.
