A leading engineering firm in Jeddah seeks a professional with significant HSE experience. Responsibilities include policy development, ensuring legal compliance, and conducting safety inspections. The ideal candidate will have a science or engineering degree and NEBOSH certification, with 5-10 years of industrial experience. This position promotes a strong safety culture across the organization.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Policy Development: Formulate and implement comprehensive HSE policies, standards, and strategies to achieve full compliance across the organization.
Legal Compliance: Ensure strict adherence to all HSE legal requirements by reviewing credentials, licenses, and permits, while maintaining strong relationships with regulatory authorities.
Performance Metrics: Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and targets for HSE, fostering a culture of accountability throughout all departments.
Audit and Inspection: Develop and manage an HSE audit system, conducting regular inspections of facilities, machinery, and equipment to identify hazards and ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations.
Safety Inspections: Conduct thorough safety inspections to proactively eliminate unsafe conditions within the workplace.
Awareness Campaigns: Drive HSE awareness campaigns across facilities to promote safe practices and encourage positive behaviors.
Certifications: Lead initiatives for obtaining certifications such as ISO 14000 and OHSAS 18000, while staying informed on current policies and industry standards.
Committee Leadership: Establish and oversee an HSE committee focused on enhancing performance, while compiling, analyzing, and reporting on HSE statistics and KPIs on a monthly basis.
Accident Investigation: Ensure comprehensive investigations of all incidents, identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions to prevent future occurrences.
