Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a guest-facing role, preferably in a hotel or upscale restaurant setting.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to stay calm under pressure in a busy environment.
  • Passion for delivering genuine hospitality and personalized service.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
  • Working knowledge of reservation systems is an advantage.
  • A polished and professional appearance in line with brand grooming standards.
  • Fluency in English (additional languages are a plus).

Overview

As a Hostess, you’ll be the welcoming face of our restaurant, setting the tone for an exceptional dining experience. From greeting guests with a warm smile to ensuring a smooth seating flow and maintaining guest preferences, your role is vital in creating memorable moments for our guests from arrival to departure.

Responsibilities
  • Greet guests promptly, warmly, and professionally as they enter the restaurant or dining outlet.
  • Manage reservations and guest seating through the appropriate booking system (e.g., OpenTable or similar).
  • Coordinate table assignments based on guest preferences, volume, and server rotations.
  • Maintain a clean and organized host station and entrance area at all times.
  • Provide accurate wait times and manage the guest queue during busy periods.
  • Answer phone calls related to dining reservations, restaurant information, and special requests.
  • Liaise with the culinary and service team to ensure seamless service delivery.
  • Uphold all IHG brand standards in guest service and personal appearance.
