Turner Lovell is recruiting on behalf of international consultancy focused on the electricity and renewable energy transition sectors. Owned by a large utility group, our client helps TSOs, utilities, regulators and developers solve grid challenges, integrate large-scale renewables into their energy networks and advance the n.

They are now hiring a Head of Business Development & Consulting Engagement Manager to grow their consulting business in Saudi Arabia and the Middle East. This is a fantastic opportunity to use your technical background, business development skills and C-level networking ability to build a consulting practice focused on Saudi Arabia and the wider region.

This is a senior, client-facing role with direct exposure to decision-makers and a realistic succession route to General Manager as the regional team grows.

The Role
  • Develop and lead the BD strategy for power systems consulting in the region.
  • Shape, sell and oversee consulting projects in:
  • Grid integration strategy of large-scale renewable energy & storage
  • Power System design and operation
  • EPC project management
  • Technical Due Diligence
  • HVDC & interconnector projects
  • Transmission and distribution planning
  • Asset management
  • Build and use existing senior relationships with TSOs, utilities, regulators, investors and developers.
  • Work closely with expert consultants and help build a local team.
  • Progress towards a future General Manager role.
The Ideal Person
  • Consulting background (management, strategic or engineering consultancy) in electricity / energy systems
  • Proven experience selling consultancy services to the energy & utilities sector.
  • MSc in Engineering or technical degree, or equivalent experience & able to discuss electricity grid and power system topics with clients.
  • Strong business development track record and confidence working at C-suite level.
  • Fluent English & Arabic language skills.
  • Based in Saudi Arabia (or happy to relocate) with regular regional travel.
