Job description
JOB DESCRIPTION

The graduate chemical/process engineer will be part of the engineering team in KSA but work closely with the process team based in our MENA office. Your journey will start with a 3‑month onsite training program at our state‑of‑the‑art testing facility at Flotta (UK) and 2 weeks at the NOV Process Systems HQ offices in Oslo (Norway). This will require an eagerness to learn and showcase your ability to develop technical skills. Once initial training is completed you will be part of the engineering team in KSA but work closely with the process team based in our MENA office. Your tasks will take place both onshore and offshore globally and could potentially involve extensive travel. You will be involved with projects in our mobile testing facility, where you will take part in the construction, installation, operation and removal of process equipment. You will also undertake laboratory analysis, studies and experiments. Training will be provided, highlighting the need for an individual with keen learning capabilities.

Key to this role will be your attention to detail, communications skills, both spoken and written and the ability to work effectively with other team members. An appreciation of the commercial implications of engineering and chemistry decision making, with a keen focus on delivery and a proactive approach throughout projects are critical to your success in this role. You will be keen to take on fresh challenges, develop your technical and interpersonal skills as well as expand your knowledge and experience through the variety of projects and training.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Provide technical support on a wide range of enquiries and projects for external and internal clients.
  • Undertake service, consultancy and laboratory‑based studies as may be required by the Company, both at KSA and clients base which may onshore or offshore globally.
  • Assist with the preparation and costing of proposals.
  • Assist with the preparation and review of technical reports.
  • Support the senior staff to develop the site service activities of the Company according to an agreed marketing plan and budget.
  • Assist with the development and implementation of laboratory techniques and methods.
  • Undertake relevant research work as may be deemed necessary for the benefit of the Company.
  • Help ensure that the laboratory is kept stocked with sufficient equipment, materials and consumables as required to undertake the ongoing projects.
  • Ensure all work is carried out in a safe and competent manner and abides by all relevant HSE regulations and maintain a high standard of housekeeping in the work area and department.
  • Ensure a high standard of professionalism is maintained when representing NOV.
  • Be fully familiar and fully conversant with department and company policies, procedures and processes, ensuring all work and actions undertaken are in full compliance at all times.
  • Support other departments and carry out other duties as and when business requirements.
  • Global travel as and when required.
