About the job General Surgery Consultant

Job Title: General Surgery Consultant

JOB SUMMARY

As a consultant in general surgery, you would be responsible to lead the surgical team at our esteemed hospital. Responsibilities include providing expert guidance in surgical care, collaborating with medical professionals to optimize patient outcomes, contributing to research and education initiatives, and upholding the hospital's commitment to excellence in General surgery by ensuring the highest standards of surgical services in our top-rated facility.

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Provides high-quality General Surgery care to patients in this area of medicine.
  • Provide consultative service as requested.
  • Supervise fellows, staff/assistant physicians, and residents.
  • Actively participates in the training and teaching of residents and fellows in his area of expertise and participates in research activities.
  • Participates in committees and other administrative functions as needed.
  • Performs special procedures as privileged.
  • Follows all hospital-related policies and procedures.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Education
  • Graduate from a medical school of good standing.
  • Completion of required period of training in specialty and/or Subspecialty.
  • Saudi Arab or American /European Board Certification or equivalent.
  • Membership and/or Fellowship status in America and/or Europe or their equivalent and fulfilling the criteria for the consultant as required.
  • A certificate recognized by the Saudi commission is a must.
  • Dataflow is a must.
Professional Experience
  • Min. 3-4 years Post Board/Fellowship in specialty.
  • A registered member of the Saudi Board Council.
Language
  • Proficiency in English; additional proficiency in Arabic may be beneficial.
References
  • Positive professional references attesting to the candidate's skills and ethical conduct.
