Job Summary:
Role Purpose
The Financial Controller / Finance Manager owns Magna’s end-to-end financial management, covering corporate finance, project financial control, and field operations finance. The role ensures disciplined financial planning, cash flow control, statutory compliance, and tight project-level cost and margin governance across client engagements and field deployments, while acting as a trusted financial partner to the CEO.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead annual and rolling business planning, budgeting, and forecasting.
- Develop and maintain integrated financial models covering revenue, cost structures, headcount, and capital expenditure.
- Support the CEO with business cases, pricing strategies, investment analysis, and scenario planning.
- Track performance versus plan and provide actionable variance analysis.
- Establish and own project-level financial governance for all client engagements.
- Set up project budgets, cost baselines, revenue recognition, and margin tracking.
- Monitor project burn rates, profitability, and cash collection against milestones.
- Work closely with project managers and practice leads to flag overruns, scope creep, and margin erosion.
- Approve project-related expenditures and change-order financial impact assessments.
Field Operations & Delivery Finance
- Provide financial oversight for field operations, including on-site teams, deployments, and client-facing delivery activities.
- Control travel, accommodation, allowances, subcontractor, and field resource costs.
- Ensure accurate cost allocation between projects, practices, and regions.
- Support pricing and costing models for field-based services and managed engagements.
Cash Flow & Treasury Management
- Own cash flow forecasting, liquidity management, and working capital control.
- Align project billing schedules with cash collection and delivery milestones.
- Monitor receivables aging and enforce collection discipline.
- Coordinate with banks and payment partners in Saudi Arabia.
Accounting, Reporting & Controls
- Oversee general ledger, month-end and year-end close processes.
- Prepare CEO dashboards, project profitability reports, and board-level financial summaries.
- Maintain strong internal controls, approval matrices, and financial policies.
- Manage external auditors and ensure audit readiness.
Tax, Statutory & Regulatory Compliance
- Ensure compliance with Saudi Zakat, VAT, corporate tax, and statutory reporting requirements.
- Maintain mandatory legal and financial documentation.
- Coordinate with external advisors on tax, legal, and regulatory matters.
- Support intercompany and JV-related financial reporting as needed.
HR & People Finance
- Partner with HR on workforce planning, payroll oversight, and compensation cost modeling.
- Ensure payroll accuracy and compliance with Saudi labor law and GOSI.
- Model utilization, billable rates, and cost structures for delivery and field teams.
- Implement and optimize finance systems, ERP, and project accounting tools.
- Standardize project finance, billing, and cost control processes.
- Prepare the finance function for scale, multi-entity expansion, and increased governance.
Priority Skills & Competencies
- Strong project finance and margin control experience
- Proven ability to manage field operations and delivery-related costs
- Advanced FP&A and cash flow management capabilities
- Solid understanding of Saudi tax, statutory, and regulatory requirements
- Hands-on mindset with strong business partnering skills
- Ability to work closely with CEOs, project leaders, and field teams
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related discipline.
- Professional certification preferred (CPA, ACCA, CA, CMA).
- 8–12 years of finance experience, including project-based or services-led organizations.
- Experience in consulting, technology services, or engineering delivery environments is a strong advantage.
- Prior experience working in Saudi Arabia is strongly preferred.
