Job Summary

The Principal provides strategic leadership to ensure high-quality teaching, learning, and school operations. This role includes curriculum oversight, staff development, school evaluation, and stakeholder engagement. The principal fosters a culture of excellence, accountability, and student-centered learning in alignment with the school's mission and values.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Oversight – Lead daily academic and operational functions, align decisions with school values, and maintain strong internal and external partnerships.
  • Accreditation Management (ETEC, Cognia, Cambridge) – Coordinate all school accreditation activities, ensuring compliance with national and international standards.
  • Recruitment of Academic Staff – Lead interview processes and ensure new hires meet the school's academic, ethical, and cultural standards.
  • School Evaluation & Improvement – Develop school evaluation tools and oversee improvement plans based on academic data, stakeholder input, and operational review.
  • Coaching and Mentoring Leaders – Support senior and subject leaders through mentoring, performance feedback, and leadership development.
  • Teaching and Learning – Monitor instructional quality and promote innovative, inclusive pedagogy across all year levels.
  • Curriculum Oversight – Ensure the Cambridge-aligned curriculum is coherent, inclusive, and developmentally appropriate.
  • Quality Assurance – Conduct lesson observations, data reviews, and evaluations to uphold academic standards.
  • Parent Relations – Engage parents through clear communication, timely feedback, and responsiveness to concerns.
  • Safeguarding – Oversee the implementation of safeguarding practices, training, and child protection protocols.
  • Student Safety and Well-being – Create a secure, respectful environment through effective pastoral care and behaviour management systems.
  • Mentoring and Staff Development – Embed a culture of continuous professional growth through training, coaching, and support systems.
  • MOE Compliance – Ensure full compliance with Ministry of Education policies, including curriculum, licensing, and reporting.
  • Policy Development – Manage and implement school policies, ensuring clarity, relevance, and staff awareness.
  • Staff Training – Lead the professional development strategy in alignment with school goals and accreditation standards.
