We are looking for a proactive and qualified Environmental & Sustainability Engineer to join our project supervision team on a Roads and Infrastructure Project. The role involves ensuring environmental compliance, implementing sustainability measures, and supporting environmental management plans in line with Ashghal's guidelines, Qatar Construction Standards, and local authority requirements.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 10 years of experience, with at least 5 years in infrastructure projects focusing on environmental management and sustainability in Qatar.

Responsibilities:

• Monitor the contractor’s Environmental Management Plan (EMP) implementation and compliance with permits.
• Support sustainability practices, including material reuse, energy efficiency, and low-impact construction.
• Conduct environmental audits, inspections, and site assessments.
• Prepare and submit compliance reports per Ashghal’s KPIs.
• Review and approve environmental submissions from contractors.
• Liaise with authorities for approvals and inspections.
• Promote environmental awareness among staff and subcontractors.
• Investigate incidents and non-conformities, and develop corrective actions.
• Ensure activities align with Ashghal’s Sustainability Framework and ISO 14001.
• Support environmental handover documentation.
• Deep knowledge of GORD/GSAS certification systems.

Qualifications and Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Engineering, Sustainability, Environmental Science, or Civil/Mechanical Engineering.
• At least 10 years of experience, with 5+ in infrastructure projects in Qatar.
• GORD/GSAS certification and ISO 14001 Lead Auditor, LEED GA/AP, or similar preferred.
• Experience with Qatar infrastructure projects.
• Proficiency in English.
• Knowledge of Ashghal standards, QA/QC, and stakeholder coordination.
• Familiarity with document management systems and site software.
