Job summary

Alfanar is seeking an experienced Testing Engineer with a focus on Power Transformer Testing (100 MVA and above). The role involves performing routine, type, and special tests on power transformers, analyzing results, and preparing technical reports to support project delivery.

Qualifications

• Familiarity with IEC/IEEE standards and utility specifications.
• Ability to interpret drawings, specifications and test reports.
• Experience in transformer manufacturing/testing environment.

Alfanar is seeking an experienced Testing Engineer with expertise in Power Transformer Testing (100 MVA and above). The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in conducting routine, type, and special tests on power transformers and be well-versed in international testing standards and utility requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform testing of Power Transformers (100+ MVA).
• Conduct Routine, Type, and Special Tests as per IEC/IEEE standards.
• Analyze test results and prepare technical reports.
• Ensure compliance with quality, safety, and customer requirements.
• Coordinate with Production, Quality, and Commissioning teams.
• Troubleshoot testing-related issues and recommend corrective actions.

Required Skills

• Experience in testing Power Transformers (100 MVA and above).
• Strong knowledge of transformer testing equipment and procedures.
• Familiarity with IEC, IEEE, SEC, and utility specifications.
• Experience in transformer manufacturing/testing environment.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications, and test reports.

Preferred GCC Experience

• Saudi Arabia, UAE, Qatar, Oman, Kuwait, or Bahrain.
• Experience with utility clients such as SEC, DEWA, ADDC, Kahramaa, etc.

Preference

Candidates with GCC experience in testing high-capacity Power Transformers (100+ MVA) will be given priority.
