Job summary

Alfanar Precast is seeking an Engineer Quantity Surveying to perform quantity take-offs, measurements, and cost estimations for construction projects. The role involves preparing payment certificates, commercial documentation, and supporting tender activities with a strong focus on accuracy and drawing interpretation.

Candidates should have a Bachelor in Architectural Engineering or Civil Engineering and be prepared to coordinate with site, planning, cost control, and finance teams to validate

• Measure executed works for interim payments, subcontractor evaluations, and reporting.

• Review technical and commercial documents to identify measurement gaps and pricing assumptions.
• Support contract administration through BOQ analysis, variation measurement, and billing documentation.
• Coordinate with site, planning, cost control, and finance teams to validate progress quantities and payments.

The QS Engineer is responsible for quantity take-off, measurement, cost estimation, payment certification, and commercial documentation for construction projects. The role requires accuracy, drawing interpretation capability, and strong commercial awareness

Functional Responsibilities

Quantity Take-Off & Measurement

• Perform accurate quantity take-offs from engineering drawings, specifications, and BOQ documents.
• Measure executed works for interim payment applications, subcontractor evaluations, and commercial reporting.
• Maintain organized measurement records and ensure quantities are traceable and auditable.
• Support tender preparation, cost estimation, pricing inputs, and commercial comparisons.
• Review technical and commercial documents to identify measurement gaps, scope risks, and pricing assumptions.
• Support contract administration through BOQ analysis, variation measurement, and billing documentation.
• Prepare and review payment certification documents and support billing procedures.
• Coordinate with site, planning, cost control, and finance teams to validate progress quantities and payment status.
• Assist in evaluating variation orders and claims from a quantity and measurement perspective.
