A leading contracting company is seeking an Engineer II for Quality Assurance in Telecom to oversee quality monitoring and inspections during telecom installation and testing. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in a related field and 4–6 years of experience in telecom QA/QC, preferably within construction or oil & gas projects. Key responsibilities include compliance assurance, inspection audits, and the management of quality-related documentation, with a focus on continuous improvement and adherence to health and safety standards.
The Engineer II, Quality – Telecom is responsible for monitoring, inspecting, and ensuring the quality of telecom installation, integration, and testing activities as per project specifications, industry standards, and client requirements. This role supports the implementation of quality control plans and ensures compliance throughout the telecom systems lifecycle.
Monitor and inspect telecom works such as fiber optic cabling, wireless systems, data transmission lines, and telecom equipment installation.
Ensure all telecom materials and installations comply with project specifications, standards (e.g., TIA/EIA, ITU, IEEE), and client requirements.
Conduct site inspections, audits, and tests during installation, commissioning, and final acceptance stages.
Coordinate with contractors, subcontractors, and engineering teams to resolve quality issues.
Review and verify telecom method statements, inspection & test plans (ITPs), and material submittals.
Maintain records of inspections, tests, and quality observations in line with the project’s quality documentation system.
Raise Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) and follow up on corrective and preventive actions.
Support root cause analysis and continuous improvement activities within telecom quality processes.
Ensure health, safety, and environmental (HSE) compliance during all QA/QC activities.
Education: Bachelor's degree in Telecommunications, Electronics, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
Experience: 4–6 years of relevant experience in telecom QA/QC, preferably in construction, infrastructure, or oil & gas projects.
Certifications (Preferred): ISO 9001, PMP, or relevant telecom certifications.
Knowledge: Familiar with telecom standards and quality processes. Understanding of fiber optics, structured cabling, telecom networking, and commissioning protocols.
