alfanar Construction is classified as a Grade I contractor by the Contractors Classification Committee of the Government of Saudi Arabia.

alfanar Building Systems manufactures and markets a variety of building construction products and systems.

The core manufacturing activities of the industries operating under alfanar Building Systems are:

  • Precast concrete products and architectural elements

Managing claims and project changes & variations throughout the project life cycle, ensuring alignment with project scope, cost, and time parameters. Ensure accurate assessment, documentation, negotiation, and resolution of all claims and variations to protect the company’s contractual and financial interests.

Key Accountability Areas

Claims Management:

  • Review, analyze, and evaluate claims submitted by contractors, suppliers, or internal stakeholders.
    Prepare claim responses, position statements, and supporting documentation.
  • Coordinate with legal, contracts, and project teams to ensure claims are handled in compliance with contractual terms.

Project Changes & Variations

  • Assess proposed project changes and variations regarding impact on scope, cost, and schedule.
  • Coordinate with engineering, finance, and planning teams to evaluate technical and financial implications.
  • Prepare Variation Orders (VOs), Change Requests (CRs), and obtain necessary internal approvals.
  • Ensure that all variations are aligned with contractual obligations and project baseline.

Cost & Schedule Impact Analysis:

  • Perform cost analysis for variations and claims, including quantity take-off, cost breakdowns, and validation of contractor proposals.
  • Analyze schedule impacts caused by changes or delays, in coordination with the planning/scheduling team.
  • Recommend mitigation strategies to minimize cost overruns and schedule delays.

Contract & Documentation Control:

  • Ensure all claims and variations are supported with complete and accurate documentation (correspondence, drawings, schedules, reports).
  • Review contract clauses related to changes, claims, and compensation events.
  • Identify potential risks related to claims and variations early in the project cycle.
  • Contribute to improving internal procedures for claims and change management.

  • Ensure compliance of relevant safety, quality, and environmental management procedures and controls within defined area of work activity to guarantee safety, legislative compliance, and delivery of high-quality products/services.
