Job summary

Baker Hughes is seeking an Electro-Mechanical Technician to join our Drilling Services team in Saudi Arabia. You will troubleshoot, test, assemble and inspect mechanical assemblies, and assist in repairing non-conforming equipment with minimal instruction.

Requirements include a 2-year technical diploma or associates degree in Electrical/Electronics and at least 2 years of electro-mechanical experience in oil and gas, plus strong English communication and hands-on skills with common testing

Qualifications

• 2 year technical diploma or Associates degree in Electrical/Electronics field or higher.
• At least 2 years of related experience in electro-mechanical function in oil and Gas industry/domain.
• Advanced skills in soldering, assembling troubleshooting, of electro-mechanical devices.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, assembly prints and parts lists.
• Be proficient in the use of measurement and gauging equipment and processes.
• Be proficient in the use of multimeters, megohmmeters, hi-pot testers and other basic instruments.
• Strong written and oral English skills.

Responsibilities

• Configuring test stations and systems
• Analyzing and interpreting data from environmental tests, and troubleshooting equipment problems
• Assisting in the set-up of experiments and the recordings of experimental data in collaboration with Engineering and Reliability groups
• Testing and evaluating the performance and, if required, repairing general purpose test equipment
• Providing leadership/coaching to other technicians in areas of proven competence
• Working in compliance with HS&E policies and procedures

As an Electro-Mechanical Technician you will troubleshoot, test, assemble, disassemble and perform the visual inspection of mechanical assemblies. Whilst assisting in repairing and modifying non-conforming equipment, you will perform all test with minimal instruction.

As an Electro-Mechanical Technician, you will be responsible for:
