Job Role “Purpose & Scope”
The Electro-Mechanical Technician is responsible for investigating, diagnosing, and repairing electrical and mechanical faults to ensure high standards of plant and equipment reliability, efficiency, cleanliness, and safety within an industrial manufacturing environment specialized in plastic pipes and fittings production.
Tasks and Duties
- Carry out preventive and breakdown maintenance according to work priorities and maintenance schedules.
- Follow company procedures, safety rules, and work instructions at all times.
- Ensure electrical and mechanical breakdowns are repaired as quickly and efficiently as possible.
- Investigate problems and breakdowns to ensure repairs address root causes rather than symptoms.
- Maintain the workshop and work areas in a clean, organized, and safe condition at all times.
- Ensure all oil, fluid spills, and waste are cleared immediately and disposed of properly.
- Continuously seek ways to improve equipment performance, reliability, and maintenance practices.
- Support and guide non-maintenance staff in basic maintenance-related activities when required.
- Ensure routine maintenance activities are carried out as detailed in preventive maintenance checklists.
- Advise the supervisor of any additional repair work required or spare parts needs.
- Complete maintenance paperwork, reports, and job records accurately and on time.
- Maintain accurate records of all work performed and time spent on each task.
- Be available to attend emergency breakdowns outside normal working hours when required.
- Work effectively within a multi-cultural industrial workforce.
- Carry out similar or related tasks as assigned by the direct supervisor.

- Basic computer literacy is required, including MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and ERP systems.
Qualifications
- Diploma in Electro-Mechanical, Electrical, Mechanical, or a related technical field.
Experience
- Three (3) years of experience in the same field within an industrial or manufacturing environment.
