Job summary

Job description

Job Purpose :

The Electromechanical Technician is responsible for carrying out preventive, corrective, and breakdown maintenance activities for industrial production machinery and factory equipment, with a strong focus on injection, extrusion, and plastic manufacturing equipment.

The role is responsible for ensuring reliable machine operation, minimizing downtime, troubleshooting electrical and mechanical failures, supporting production continuity, and maintaining equipment in accordance with safety, quality, and maintenance standards.

Key Responsibilities :

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance for production machines, injection/extrusion systems, and related factory equipment.
• Diagnose and repair electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic faults in industrial machinery.
• Troubleshoot machine breakdowns and ensure repairs address the root cause, not only the symptoms.
• Support maintenance activities related to PLC, VFD, motors, sensors, control panels, and automation systems.
• Carry out routine inspection, servicing, lubrication, adjustment, and testing of machines as per preventive maintenance schedules.
• Respond quickly to machine stoppages and emergency breakdowns to minimize production downtime.
• Read and interpret electrical drawings, mechanical drawings, machine manuals, and maintenance instructions.
• Use electrical and mechanical measuring/testing tools to identify faults and verify repair quality.
• Support the implementation of predictive maintenance activities where applicable, such as vibration checks, thermal checks, and condition monitoring.
• Report required spare parts, abnormal machine conditions, and repeated failures to the Maintenance Supervisor.
• Record completed work, breakdown details, time taken, spare parts used, and maintenance activities in ERP/CMMS or maintenance records.
• Coordinate with Production, Quality, and Maintenance teams to ensure smooth and safe operation of machines.
• Maintain workshop tools, maintenance areas, and equipment in a clean, organized, and safe condition.
• Follow all company procedures, safety rules, lockout/tagout requirements, PPE requirements, and HSE instructions.
• Carry out any other related duties assigned by the direct superior.

Required Education :

• Technical Diploma in Electromechanical, Electrical, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Maintenance, or a related technical field.

Required Experience :

• Minimum 5 years of practical experience in industrial machinery maintenance.
• Experience in plastic manufacturing, injection, extrusion, pipe manufacturing, or similar industrial production environment is preferred.
• Hands-on experience in both electrical and mechanical troubleshooting.
• Experience with PLC, VFD, motors, sensors, control systems, hydraulic systems, pneumatic systems, and industrial equipment maintenance.

Technical Skills :

• Strong knowledge of electrical and mechanical maintenance.
• Ability to troubleshoot industrial machinery faults.
• Ability to read electrical and mechanical schematics.
• Knowledge of PLC, VFD, sensors, motors, control panels, and machine control systems.
• Knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, gearboxes, bearings, pumps, compressors, and mechanical transmission systems.
• Skilled in using multimeters, clamp meters, insulation testers, mechanical tools, and maintenance testing tools.
• Experience with preventive maintenance, breakdown maintenance, and basic root cause analysis.
• Ability to work with ERP/CMMS maintenance systems is preferred.
• Good English communication skills.
