Job summary

PeopleStrong is seeking an Electrical Engineering professional to oversee testing, commissioning and handover of high voltage electrical systems within rolling stock and substations. The role covers testing of MV/HV gear, transformers, switchgear, protection, and SCADA interfaces.

You will review drawings, ITPs and procedures, coordinate with construction, QA/QC and HSE, and ensure safety procedures such as LOTO/PTW are followed throughout commissioning.

Qualifications

• Diploma/B.E/B.Tech in electrical engineering required.
• Experience in testing, commissioning and handover of electrical and renewable systems.
• Knowledge of MV/HV equipment, protection systems, and SCADA.
• Knowledge of safety procedures including LOTO and PTW.

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute testing and commissioning activities for electrical and renewable energy systems.
• Review drawings, specifications, ITPs, and commissioning procedures.
• Coordinate with construction, QA/QC, HSE, and project teams.
• Perform pre-commissioning checks, energization, and synchronization.
• Prepare commissioning dossiers and progress reports.
• Coordinate with utility/client representatives for inspections and approvals.
• Troubleshoot equipment and system issues during testing and commissioning.
• Ensure commissioning activities comply with procedures and standards.
