Job summary

Larsen & Toubro in Saudi Arabia is seeking an EHS specialist to prepare and implement health, safety and environment plans for construction sites.

You will conduct daily site inspections, deliver EHS inductions, coordinate audits and incident investigations, and ensure safe work practices with timely reporting to the project team and head office. You will enforce PPE usage, manage risk assessments, and maintain documentation.

Qualifications

• Experience implementing ISO-45001/ISO-14001/ISO-9001 in construction environments.
• Experience coordinating EHS audits and site inspections.
• Ability to deliver EHS induction and training to engineers and workers.
• Ability to prepare EHS plans, emergency response plans and risk assessments.

Job description

Prepare all EHS related document (EHS plan, emergency response plan, RA, etc.)

• Attend all EHS meeting with client and project team

• Provide EHS induction training to new workers

• Ensure appropriate safe work permits are taken by Engineers/Supervisors from Clients/ Main

• Communicate investigation results to workers and engineers for future precautions
• Administer first-aid and/or seek medical assistance in case of worker injury
• Maintain all documentation related to EHS activities

Establishing, monitoring, appraising & coordinating upgraded version of integrated health, safety & environment management system (Confirming to ISO-45001:2018, ISO14001:2015 and ISO 9001 standards) for construction projects, improvising procedure manual and internal audits based on above standards.

Conducting training program on EHS topics for engineers & workers in site as well as in HR organized EHS training programs.

Doing Hazard identification and risk assessment for the critical activities and ensuring method statements incorporates the findings.

Preparing EHS Plan and Environment Management Plan

Coordinating External EHS Audits & Third Party Inspections of Equipment's

Preparing Emergency Preparedness Plan and Conducting Emergency Drills

Facilitating Implementation of Work Permit System

Coordinating for Occupational Health & Welfare measures.

Preparing Condition of contract on EHS for Sub-contractors.

Stop work if any unsafe practices are witnessed and promote a don’t walk by and commitment to Action attitude all the time.

Carry out projects Risk Management Audit on monthly basic and system audit quarterly.

Provide EHS report to project head and IC Head to inform them the current status of EHS performance.
