The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of engineering principles, a valid AutoCAD certificate, and at least 3 years of relevant experience in construction CAD software. This role involves ensuring accuracy in technical drawings and complying with safety and quality standards, contributing significantly to construction projects.

Qualifications

• Solid understanding of engineering principles and drafting standards.
• AutoCAD certificate is required.

Responsibilities

Draftsman Operation

• Create drawings based on instructions from project manager or engineer.
• Explain technical concepts to engineers during meetings with architects, engineers, contractors, or team members.
• Use computer-aided drafting software to create drawings of projects.
• Check drawings for accuracy and correct any errors found.
• Prepare detailed drawings of plans, maps, diagrams, charts, or other images.
• Use computer-aided design software to create drawings on drafting board.
• Maintain detailed records of work performed and materials used in each project.
• Create drawings of architectural designs and sketches of building plans and structures.
• Prepare sketches and plans for construction projects such as roads, buildings, bridges, or other structures.
• Adhere to all relevant codes, regulations, and safety standards.
• Stay up to date on new technologies and developments in the field.

• Define performance goals at the start of the year and ensure they are monitored and achieved during the year.
• Take ownership of learning agenda by identifying development needs and working toward bridging gaps through training and other means.
