Job Description:

Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Digital Infrastructure Engineer to join our team! The Digital Infrastructure Engineer will be responsible for the design and support the implementation deployment of Qiddiya’s city-wide digital infrastructure, ensuring reliable connectivity, security, and scalability. This role requires strong networking expertise (especially TCP/IP), proven hands-on skills with Cisco technologies or similar, and the ability to work in a multidisciplinary, high-profile giga-project environment.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Design and implement network infrastructure (LAN/WAN/Wi-Fi) for data centers, smart city systems, and field operations.

  • Configure, manage, and optimize Cisco switches, routers, firewalls, and wireless controllers.

  • Monitor and maintain network performance, ensuring uptime and quality of service (QoS) across multiple environments.

  • Perform troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and corrective actions for network incidents.

  • Work closely with other ICT teams (data center, IoT, security, telecom) to integrate network infrastructure into wider digital platforms.

  • Support the integration of smart city systems, including CCTV, access control, and IoT devices.

  • Ensure all designs and operations comply with CST, MCIT, and Qiddiya technical standards.

  • Maintain network diagrams, configuration records, and standard operating procedures.

  • Evaluate and recommend emerging technologies to enhance digital infrastructure performance and security.

  • Participate in capacity planning and future network scaling strategies.

What Required Skills You'll Bring:

  • Education : Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Telecommunications, or related field.

  • Certifications : Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) required; CCNP or higher preferred. FTTH/GPON vendor certification is an advantage.

  • Experience :

  • Minimum 5 years in network engineering, preferably in large-scale or smart city projects.

  • Strong TCP/IP protocol knowledge and experience with network routing, switching, and security.

  • Experience in data center network environments and multi-vendor integrations is a plus.

What Desired Skills You'll Bring:

  • Strong understanding of TCP/IP, VLANs, VPNs, MPLS, QoS, and network security principles.

  • Hands-on Cisco configuration and troubleshooting skills.

  • Ability to work in fast-paced, high-visibility projects with strict deadlines.

  • Hands-on experience in FTTH network design, deployment, and testing.

  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

  • Problem-solving mindset and analytical thinking.
