Overview

Job Title: Data Scientist

The Data Scientist is responsible for using data to generate insights for decision-making and solving complex problems. Responsibilities

• Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand their data needs and design data solutions in close collaboration with Business Analysts
• Conduct use case ideation sessions and perform data discovery exercises to qualify high value use cases
• Build and deploy machine learning models to generate predictions and insights
• Collect, clean and prepare data for analysis using tools such as SQL, Python, Dataiku, etc.
• Analyze large and complex data sets using statistical and mathematical methods to identify patterns, trends and insights
• Communicate data insights and recommendations to stakeholders through visualizations, reports and presentations
• Research and evaluate new technologies and tools to improve data analysis performance and scalability on a regular basis
• Troubleshoot and debug data analysis issues and monitor data quality
• Assist Data Engineers in creating robust data pipelines to feed the data into AI models and help with deploying into production
• Collaborate with Business Analysts and Data Engineers to write high-quality documents like BRS, LLD, handover documents, etc.
• Conduct training sessions for clients as and when needed
• Foster relationships with clients at appropriate levels while delivering quality services and driving high-quality work products within expected timeframes and budget
• Monitor progress, manage risk and ensure key stakeholders are kept informed on progress and expected outcomes
• Manage expectations of client service delivery especially around model results, benefits and ROI
• Keep up with industry trends, business news and key sectors’ updates namely telecom, banking, retail, insurance, education and transportation among others
