Overview

The Position
Boehringer Ingelheim is seeking a Controller for SAGEA (Saudi Arabia, Gulf, East Africa) region. As the Controller based in Riyadh, you will report to the SAGEA Head of F&A.

Responsibilities
  • Planning cycle/budget process:
    • Communicate planning, guidelines, timelines, targets, and relevant data to stakeholders.
    • Provide financial impact and analysis of assumption set to the business.
    • Support review meetings by generating overviews, analysis, and business support.
    • Ensure timely submission of data in appropriate systems.
  • Business Partnering:
    • Implement, align, and execute guidance provided by the regional controlling team.
    • Provide operational business support with pricing, discount, and profitability analysis.
    • Make recommendations for cost optimization and partnerships.
    • Collect, interpret, and provide data for decision-making processes.
    • Connect relevant functions in OPU and ROPU for better communication and process efficiency.
  • Monthly closing/supplementary reporting:
    • Process accurate and relevant accruals and provisions in financial ledgers.
    • Coordinate data collection from relevant resources.
    • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting in accordance with corporate policies and guidelines.
    • Perform month-end routines, checks, reconciliations, and analysis.
    • Provide periodical financial information and comments for OPU management.
  • Projects and continuous improvement:
    • Work on continuous improvement topics to ensure compliance and adherence to financial regulations.
    • Support ROPU controlling team on an ad hoc basis.
  • Network and personal development:
    • Build and maintain external and internal network connections.
    • Acquire and maintain relevant know-how and technical expertise.
  • Compliance Responsibility:
    • Oversee compliance and adherence to corporate SOPs, local regulations, and best practices.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s and/or Master’s degree (e.g. MBA, MSc) in Business Administration / Economics and/or Diploma degree
  • 5 - 6 Years of Finance and Business Controlling experience, preferably in a multi-national Pharmaceutical organization and/or Big Four Accounting Firms.
  • Experience using SAP, Tableau, Power BI, Reporting tools.
  • Project management experience is a must.
  • Knowledge of IFRS, CPA/SOCPA is preferred.
  • Language requirements: English is a must; Arabic is preferred.
