Job summary

WSP in the Middle East is looking for a Commissioning Engineer to provide technical expertise during testing of Open/Close Cycle Gas Turbine projects. You will review contractor plans, procedures and logic sequences, attend inspections and tests, and help anticipate and resolve issues based on your testing experience.

The role requires engaging with multiple stakeholders in a complex environment, witnessing key testing hold points, maintaining progress dashboards onsite, and supervising

Qualifications

• B.Tech in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• Experience in power plant commissioning or turbine testing.
• Ability to coordinate across multiple stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical expertise by reviewing contractor plans, procedures and logic sequences.
• Attend and approve various inspections and tests.
• Adopt a proactive approach to anticipate issues based on past Testing & Commissioning experience.
• Demonstrate proven experience in working with multiple stakeholders in a complex environment.
• Witness key testing hold points and maintain dashboards of progress onsite for different stages of testing.
• Maintain continuous coordination to integrate project interfaces into a cohesive system.
• Review contractor/OEM commissioning procedures and test reports.
• Review PT procedures and performance test calculations.
• Perform independent calculations to verify OEM data.
• Supervise and witness commissioning activities.
