Saudi Air Navigation Services (SANS) seeks a seasoned CNS Infrastructure Architect to lead the provisioning, integration and lifecycle management of the CNS platforms. You will ensure a secure, high-availability environment aligned with architecture standards and regulatory requirements.
The role emphasizes delivering scalable infrastructure, driving cyber-resilience, coordinating FAT/SAT readiness, and mentoring teams to uphold engineering best practices while adhering to budgets and policies.
To lead the provision, implementation, integration and lifecycle management of the organization s CNS infrastructure platforms ensuring a secure, resilient and high-availability environment that supports CNS systems for safe air navigation operations. Ensure CNS infrastructure solutions are delivered and managed in compliance with approved architecture standards, cybersecurity requirements and applicable regulatory requirements within the set KPIs, agreed budgets and adopted policies and procedures.
Minimum 6 years of experience in CNS Architecture or related field is required.
Education and Certifications: Bachelor s degree in Engineering or equivalent is required.
Technical Certification in CNS ATM systems or Network Server administration is required.
Lead infrastructure engineering planning activities including engineering feasibility assessments, technology planning and infrastructure optimization to support current and future operational requirements.
Translate approved architecture designs into detailed infrastructure engineering plans and implementation priorities.
Lead the development and periodic update of CNS infrastructure engineering manuals, technical procedures and engineering practices.
Drive continuous improvement in infrastructure engineering methodologies, technical practices and engineering processes.
Identify infrastructure engineering risks and recommend mitigation measures to ensure resilient, secure and sustainable infrastructure solutions.
Identify opportunities to improve infrastructure scalability, resilience, performance and operational efficiency through modern technologies and engineering best practices.
Lead the development and maintenance of infrastructure configuration management practices, configuration baselines and technical documentation.
Validate infrastructure configurations to ensure compliance with approved architecture standards, cybersecurity requirements and technical specifications.
Ensure infrastructure configuration changes are controlled, documented and maintained throughout the infrastructure engineering lifecycle.
Lead the development of infrastructure implementation and deployment plans based on approved High-Level Designs (HLDs) and Low-Level Designs (LLDs).
Lead the implementation, integration and technical deployment of CNS infrastructure in accordance with approved architecture engineering standards and project requirements.
Validate infrastructure implementation readiness and technical compliance prior to infrastructure delivery.
Monitor infrastructure implementation progress, technical dependencies and engineering deliverables to ensure successful project execution.
Lead the technical review of Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT), Site Acceptance Tests (SAT) commissioning activities and technical handover readiness.
Lead and facilitate internal and external technical audits related to infrastructure implementation and ensure compliance with cybersecurity, ICAO, GACAR, SANS and other applicable regulatory requirements.
Lead infrastructure lifecycle planning activities including capacity planning, technology refresh, lifecycle optimization and technology obsolescence management.
Develop lifecycle infrastructure strategies to ensure long-term availability, scalability, resilience and sustainability of CNS infrastructure.
Evaluate infrastructure lifecycle performance and recommend modernization, upgrade and replacement initiatives.
Provide technical leadership in lifecycle investment planning, infrastructure cost estimation and vendor technical evaluations.
Lead infrastructure resource planning to support engineering activities and long-term infrastructure sustainability.
Oversee infrastructure procurement planning (PR and PO) activities and vendor coordination to ensure timely acquisition and delivery of infrastructure solutions.
Support in monitoring day-to-day activities to ensure compliance with stipulated policies and procedures.
Contribute to the identification of opportunities for continuous improvement of systems and processes taking into account leading practices, changes in business environment, cost reduction and productivity improvement.
Actively participate in on-the-job training, mentoring and coaching of subordinates.
Provide clear direction, prioritize tasks, assign and delegate responsibility and monitor the workflow.
