Job summary

MAGNOOS Information Systems in Riyadh invites a Cloudera Administrator to manage and optimize our data platform. You will install, configure, and maintain components, ensure security, availability and performance.

You will collaborate with DevOps and Analytics teams, automate tasks, document architecture, and stay current with Hadoop ecosystem tools to handle complex data pipelines.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of Hadoop/Cloudera administration experience.
• Hands-on experience with Cloudera Manager, CDH/CDP, and Hadoop ecosystem tools.
• Strong Linux administration and shell scripting skills.
• Knowledge of monitoring/logging tools and security integrations.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure and maintain the platform components.

Job Title

Cloudera Administrator

Job Scope

The Cloudera Administrator is responsible for managing and maintaining the underlying systems and infrastructure that support relevant data management and analytics solutions. S/He ensures that the platform is stable, secure and performing optimally.

Main Duties And Responsibilities

• Install, configure and maintain the different components of the platform
• Manage and monitor the platform's performance, troubleshoot and resolve any issue that might arise
• Implement security measures to protect the platform and ensure compliance with regulations
• Manage and maintain the platform's storage and backup systems
• Manage and maintain the platform's resiliency, availability and recovery
• Automate and script platform-related tasks to improve efficiency and reduce manual intervention
• Manage and maintain the platform's network infrastructure and monitoring/logging systems
• Collaborate with other teams and departments, such as Development and Operations, to ensure the platform meets the organization's overall goals and objectives
• Research and evaluate new technologies and tools to improve the platform's performance and scalability on a regular basis
• Create and maintain documentation for installing, upgrading and testing the platform
• Create and maintain documentation for the platform’s low- and high-level design and other architecture and operational related aspects

Position Requirements

• 4+ years of experience in Hadoop/Cloudera administration
• Hands‑on experience with Cloudera Manager, CDH/CDP, and Hadoop ecosystem tools
• Experience with Linux administration and shell scripting
• Strong knowledge of monitoring, logging (e.g., Ambari, Nagios, Splunk)
• Familiarity with security protocols and integration (LDAP, Kerberos, TLS)
• Ability to troubleshoot complex infrastructure and data pipeline issues

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or any other related field

At least 3 to 5 years of relevant experience
