Job summary

A leading IT services company is looking for an experienced Cloud Security Engineer to design and implement security controls across multi-cloud environments. This role will ensure the security and compliance of cloud infrastructures in mission-critical settings, especially in Saudi Arabia. The ideal candidate must have proven expertise in cloud security and fluency in Arabic and English. This is a freelance/contractor position with the possibility of remote work from Romania or Saudi Arabia.

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Cloud Security Engineer to design, implement, and govern security controls across multi‑cloud environments, supporting platforms in Saudi Arabia. The role focuses on ensuring the security, compliance, and resilience of cloud infrastructures operating in mission‑critical environments.

The successful candidate will play a key role in verifying and maintaining compliance with (NCA) controls across all cloud environments, while supporting secure cloud operations and risk mitigation initiatives. Fluency in Arabic and English is mandatory.

Scope of the Role

• Ensure cloud security and compliance across multi‑cloud environments
• Verify alignment with (NCA) cybersecurity controls and frameworks
• Support secure cloud operations across Google Cloud Platform (GCP), Alibaba Cloud, and Huawei Cloud
• Collaborate closely with cloud, network, security, and operations teams to maintain security posture and compliance

Key Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and manage security controls across multi‑cloud environments
• Verify and ensure ongoing compliance with NCA cybersecurity requirements
• Implement and manage identity and access management (IAM), network security, and data protection controls
• Conduct security assessments, risk analysis, and gap analysis for cloud environments
• Support security audits, compliance reviews, and regulatory assessments
• Monitor security events, investigate incidents, and support incident response activities
• Define and implement security hardening, logging, and monitoring standards
• Provide remediation recommendations and oversee implementation of corrective actions
• Document cloud security architectures, compliance evidence, and technical standards

Candidate Profile & Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Cloud Security Engineer, Cloud Security Architect, or similar role
• Strong hands‑on experience securing cloud environments in one or more of the following platforms:
• Alibaba Cloud
• Strong knowledge of cloud security, IAM, encryption, network security, and compliance frameworks
• Experience supporting regulatory and security compliance in cloud environments (NCA or equivalent frameworks)
• Mandatory fluency in Arabic and English (spoken and written)
• Experience working in multicultural and geographically distributed environments, including the Middle East and Europe
• Strong analytical, risk assessment, and problem‑solving skills
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage security, audit, and technical stakeholders
• Role location: Remote (Romania) and / or Saudi Arabia
• Engagement type: Freelance / Contractor
