Job description

Responsibilities

1. Develop and maintain reusable and scalable IaC templates using tools like Terraform, Ansible, and CloudFormation.
2. Automate provisioning, configuration, and management of cloud infrastructure across public, private, and hybrid cloud environments.
3. Enable policy-as-code practices to ensure compliance and governance across automated deployments.
4. Manage OpenShift clusters to support containerized application environments.
5. Design and manage CI/CD pipelines for automating the build, test, and deployment of infrastructure and application code.
6. Integrate automated testing and quality gates to ensure reliability and performance of deployments.
7. Collaborate with DevOps and development teams to streamline the software delivery lifecycle.
8. Work with platforms such as VMware, OCI and Google Cloud to deploy and optimize cloud infrastructure.
9. Use IaC tools to support multi-cloud and hybrid cloud strategies.
10. Enable cloud-native architecture and containerized environments using Kubernetes and Docker.
11. Utilize VMware automation tools to enhance operational efficiency and deliver self-service capabilities.
12. Integrate and automate solutions across Nutanix platforms and hyperscaler environments such as Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI).
13. Monitor infrastructure performance and implement auto-scaling and self-healing mechanisms.
14. Identify and automate repetitive operational tasks to enhance efficiency and reduce downtime.
15. Troubleshoot infrastructure issues and ensure high availability and disaster recovery readiness.
16. Collaborate with development, operations, and security teams to align infrastructure automation with business goals.
17. Maintain clear and detailed documentation of automation scripts, pipelines, and architecture.
18. Provide training and mentorship to team members on IaC tools and best practices.

Requirements

• Advanced knowledge of Ansible, Terraform for IaC implementation.
• Strong experience with CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, or GitHub Actions.
• Hands‑on experience with cloud provider Hyperscaler OCI.
• Proficiency in scripting languages like Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
• Experience working with Nutanix environments (AHV, Prism, Calm) for infrastructure automation.
• Familiarity with version control systems like Git and GitOps workflows.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in infrastructure automation on Public Cloud OCI Platform, Cloud Engineering, or DevOps roles.
• Proven experience in deploying and managing IaC at scale with Terraform and Configuration Management using Ansible.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with a proactive mindset.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a fast‑paced, team‑oriented environment.

Nice to Have

• Solid understanding and administration of containerization tools like Docker and orchestration platforms such as Red Hat OpenShift.
• Experience with other Cloud Providers as AWS and Azure.

Certifications

1. Certifications in Terraform (HashiCorp Certified: Terraform Associate), OCI, or Kubernetes (CKA/CKAD/OpenShift Specialist Ex280).
2. Nutanix Certified Associate (NCA) and Nutanix Certified Professional – Multicloud Infrastructure (NCP-MCI).
3. RHCSA and RHCE Certifications.
