Job summary

The role includes evaluating patient condition, implementing treatment programs, teaching patients and families, and coordinating with physicians and other staff to integrate care. Two years of experience and a BS in Physical Therapy with active licensure are required.

Qualifications

• BS Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution.
• Current license to practice as a physical therapist.

Responsibilities

• Plan and administer medically prescribed physical therapy treatments to restore function and relieve pain.
• Review physician referrals and patient records to determine required therapy.
• Test and measure strength, motor development, sensory perception, and functional capacity; adjust treatment as needed.
• Prepare written treatment programs and administer manual exercises.
• Stay updated on advances in physical therapy and apply evidence-based protocols.
• Apply physical agents and equipment; evaluate and adjust treatments for maximum benefit.
• Record progress in patient charts and/or computer system.
• Educate patients and families; coordinate with physicians and other health professionals; supervise assistants.
• Perform other duties as assigned within scope of responsibility.
