The Opportunity
An established and fast‑growing facilities management platform in Saudi Arabia is seeking a highly accomplished Chief Operating Officer (COO) to lead and transform nationwide operations.
This is a pivotal executive leadership role responsible for shaping the operational direction of a large, multi‑service FM business operating across commercial, industrial, and mission‑critical environments. The COO will drive operational excellence, scale performance, embed best‑in‑class quality standards, and accelerate the adoption of digital, data, and AI‑driven solutions.
The role offers significant influence, visibility, and strategic impact, with a mandate to modernise operations, strengthen governance, and build a high‑performance culture aligned to Saudi Arabias Vision 2030 ambitions.
What Youll Be Responsible For
Executive Leadership & Operational Strategy
- Define and execute the national operational strategy for facilities management, aligned with corporate objectives and long‑term growth plans.
- Provide leadership across all operational functions, ensuring consistent, high‑quality service delivery across diverse client portfolios.
- Establish clear operating models, governance frameworks, and performance standards across regions and contracts.
- Drive efficiency, scalability, and margin improvement while maintaining exceptional service quality.
- Ensure full compliance with Saudi regulations, safety standards, and environmental requirements.
Operational Excellence & Continuous Improvement
- Embed a culture of standardisation, accountability, and continuous improvement across all FM operations.
- Design and implement robust KPIs, dashboards, and performance management systems.
- Identify and deliver process optimisation initiatives that improve service quality, reduce risk, and control costs.
- Lead operational transformation initiatives across people, processes, and technology.
Digital, Data & AI Enablement
- Champion the strategic adoption of AI, data analytics, and digital platforms to improve operational visibility and decision‑making.
- Oversee the implementation of predictive maintenance, intelligent asset management, and performance analytics solutions.
- Partner with technology and IT teams to integrate digital tools into FM workflows.
- Stay ahead of emerging technologies and identify opportunities to improve resilience, efficiency, and client outcomes.
Quality, Governance & Risk
- Establish and maintain rigorous quality assurance and audit frameworks.
- Ensure consistent service delivery through structured inspections, audits, and corrective action plans.
- Strengthen risk management, business continuity, and operational resilience across all contracts.
- Build governance structures that support reporting accuracy, transparency, and executive oversight.
People Leadership & Talent Development
- Lead and inspire a large, multi‑disciplinary workforce, including regional leaders, operations managers, engineers, and technical teams.
- Attract, develop, and retain top Saudi FM talent.
- Build succession pipelines and leadership development programmes.
- Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous professional development.
Client & Stakeholder Engagement
- Act as a senior operational partner to key clients, supporting long‑term relationships and contract retention.
- Support the CEO and executive leadership team in managing strategic client engagements.
- Lead resolution of complex operational or client‑facing challenges with confidence and authority.
Financial & Commercial Oversight
- Partner with finance teams to oversee operational budgets, forecasts, and financial performance.
- Identify opportunities for cost optimisation, productivity gains, and sustainable growth.
- Provide clear, data‑driven operational reporting to the executive leadership team.
What You Bring
Background & Experience
- Saudi National (mandatory).
- Bachelors degree in Engineering, Facilities Management, Business Administration, or a related discipline (Masters degree strongly preferred).
- Minimum 15 years experience in facilities management or related industries.
- At least 5 years in a senior executive role (COO, Director, Vice President, or General Manager).
- Proven experience leading large‑scale, multi‑site FM operations across Saudi Arabia.
Technical & Leadership Capability
- Strong technical understanding of FM service delivery models, built environment systems, and operational best practices.
- Experience implementing standardised operating models and transforming legacy operations.
- Demonstrated success in leveraging data, digital platforms, and automation to improve operational performance.
- Commercially astute with experience managing operational budgets, margins, and cost controls.
