Job summary

libera consultants is partnering with a leading organization in the energy and industrial sector to recruit an experienced Chief Electrical Engineer who will lead and oversee large-scale projects.

The role requires coordinating with senior engineers, mentoring the electrical team, ensuring compliance with international codes and standards, and driving design quality, safety, and timely delivery on multiple initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering required; Master’s degree preferred.
• Registered Professional Engineer license or equivalent.
• Minimum 25 years of experience in electrical engineering.
• Experience in oil & gas, hydrocarbon, refinery, offshore, or infrastructure projects.
• Recognized as a specialist on large to mega-scale projects.
• Strong expertise in electrical design, protection systems, and international codes.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with the Principal Electrical Engineer to ensure accurate implementation of project designs
• Lead and manage the work of Lead Engineers across multiple projects
• Prepare and review electrical engineering studies, drawings, specifications, and technical documentation
• Resolve complex engineering challenges in line with international codes and standards
• Define project scope, objectives, and priorities
• Establish and maintain procedures, methods, and quality controls
• Ensure compliance with quality and safety standards
• Liaise with internal teams and external clients
• Manage, mentor, and develop the Electrical Engineering team
• Support recruitment, training, and performance management
• Contribute to departmental budgeting and resource planning
• Review performance and recommend salary adjustments
• Approve timesheets and oversee team productivity
