Overview
Perform laboratory QC tests according to prescribed standards. Assist on transactional type of analytical work to support various units of the Company.
Functional Duties
- Perform Quality Assurance/Quality Control analysis in support of production units, raw material, process streams and finished products’ testing and certification.
- Perform Quality Assurance / Quality Control analysis in support of Sadara production units.
- Work according to assigned work schedule, or in a 24/7 shift operation.
- Handle multi areas in the testing laboratories through cross training, self-development, and recommends & seeks continuous improvements.
- Perform routine and non-routine analysis in a timely manner as per Sadara approved procedures.
- Interpret, document, communicate, and archive analytical results and calibration check data; Prepare reference standards, and reagents.
- Apply and interpret statistical tools utilized to check performance of instruments.
- Utilize Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS) to enter and store data.
- Utilize the Sample Transport System (STS) to send and receive samples, and be proficient in the use of STS Sample Management System (SMS).
- Utilize the Laboratory Automation Systems including the Chromatography Data System (CDS), and Titration Management System (TMS).
- Maintain high standard of quality in work performed, and constantly check & verify results before reporting them.
- Record test results on standardized forms and log test reports using proper documentation procedures.
- Perform assigned calibration check as required, and conduct first-line basic maintenance according to Sadara’s written procedures.
- Perform all tests associated with quality control and international proficiency testing programs.
- Check the sample information and sample integrity prior to running the analysis according to laboratory worksheets.
- Carry out routine checks on instrument status, sample login, maintenance and Quality Control checks in a timely manner.
- Apply, and comply with ISO 9001 Standard, and Current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP) requirements.
- Handles hazardous chemicals and laboratory waste according to Sadara EHS and Laboratory procedure; Follows the laboratory and site safety procedures.
- Comply with EH&S guidelines and overall safety processes.
- Perform any job-related activities as requested by the immediate supervisor/manager.

Essential: Associate degree in analytical chemistry.
