Job summary

International Water Distribution Co. (Tawzea) is seeking a skilled maintenance technician to service instrumentation and control systems at water facilities.

You will perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance, troubleshoot PLC/SCADA/HMI/RTU/VFD faults, and calibrate field instruments to ensure reliable plant operation. You will read P&IDs and drawings, maintain CMMS records, and participate in on-call maintenance, testing, and commissioning of upgrades, with a focus on safety

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on instrumentation and control systems.
• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair faults in PLC, SCADA, HMI, RTU, VFD, and field instrumentation systems.
• Calibrate, test, install, and commission field instruments, including pressure, flow, level, temperature, and analytical instruments.
• Ensure the reliable and efficient operation of automation and control systems in WWTPs, pumping stations, and lift stations.
• Monitor control system performance and identify opportunities to improve system reliability and reduce downtime.
• Read and interpret P&IDs, electrical drawings, loop diagrams, control logic, and technical documentation.
• Conduct routine inspections and functional testing of instrumentation and control equipment.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records, calibration certificates, and CMMS work reports.
• Coordinate with operations and maintenance teams to minimize disruption to plant operations.
• Assist in installation, modification, and upgrading of instrumentation and control systems.
• Ensure compliance with safety procedures and industry standards during maintenance activities.
• Support emergency breakdown response and participate in on-call maintenance when required.
• Identify spare parts requirements and report defects or recurring failures to supervisors.
• Participate in system testing, commissioning, and performance verification following maintenance or project activities.
• Maintain housekeeping standards and ensure tools and test equipment are calibrated.
