Job summary
GulfNet Solutions Company Limited (GNS) is seeking an experienced automation engineer to provide controls/automation technical support and manage large projects from concept to closeout. The role includes site testing, commissioning, and hands-on PLC/HMI/DCS programming for automated process equipment.
The candidate should hold a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Electronics/Instrumentation and possess at least 7 years of experience, with strong knowledge of international standards and
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Electrical / Electronics / instrumentation).
- Minimum 7 years of experience in the field.
- Knowledge of Water and Power Projects.
- Experience with NWC, SWCC, SIO, RC.
- Knowledge of ANSI, NEMA, UL, and NEC standards.
- Rockwell Automation Studio 5000, FactoryTalk, RSLogix500/RSLogix5000, RSlinx, ControlLogix, CompactLogix; Siemens/Schneider S7, WinCC, Unity Pro, Wonderware.
Responsibilities
- Concurrently lead and execute medium to high‑level control systems projects in support of testing and commissioning.
- Follow engineering standards and project management guidance for project execution.
- Conduct site surveys, operation & maintenance and troubleshooting for ongoing projects.
- Assign tasks to supervisor/technician for integration of field instruments and equipment.
- Develop IO lists, FAT, SAT documents and system design specs.
