Qualifications

• Experience as auto electrician with heavy trucks and trailers.
• Strong knowledge of 24V truck electrical systems (sensors, alternators, starters).

Responsibilities

• Inspect, diagnose, and repair electrical wiring in trucks and trailers.
• Maintain and troubleshoot lighting systems (headlights, indicators, brake lights, interior lights).
• Service and repair starter motors, alternators, and batteries.
• Diagnose and repair truck ECUs, ABS, EBS, transmission electronics.
• Install and maintain sensors, relays, switches, and other electronic components.
• Perform preventive maintenance on electrical systems to reduce downtime.
• Use diagnostic tools, multimeters, and scanning devices to identify electrical issues.
• Read wiring diagrams, schematics, and service manuals.
• Ensure proper record keeping of repairs, parts used, and maintenance performed.
• Follow workshop safety standards and use PPE when performing tasks.
• Support emergency roadside repairs when required.

The Auto Electrician is responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining all electrical systems and components in trucks, trailers, and heavy vehicles, including hoopers and bulkers. The role ensures that all vehicles are in safe, reliable operating condition in compliance with company and regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Inspect, diagnose, and repair electrical wiring, circuits, and components in trucks and trailers.
• Maintain and troubleshoot lighting systems (headlights, indicators, brake lights, interior lights, etc.).
• Service and repair starter motors, alternators, and batteries.
• Diagnose and repair truck electronic control systems (ECU, ABS, EBS, transmission electronics).
• Install and maintain sensors, relays, switches, and other electronic components.
