Job summary

Tuwaiq Casting & Forging Company is seeking an experienced Application Developer to build scalable backend services and APIs supporting production systems, enterprise integrations, and real‑time data processing. You will report to the IT Application Manager in the IT Application Division.

Responsibilities include designing and maintaining Java/Spring Boot backends, integrating ERP/MES systems, and ensuring API security and performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in backend development or similar roles.
• Strong Java (JDK 8+) and Spring Boot experience.
• Proven REST API design, development, and security practices.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain backend applications using Java and Spring Boot.
• Build and consume RESTful APIs for ERP, MES, and third‑party integrations.
• Ensure API performance, security, and scalability standards.
• Develop and optimize SQL queries, stored procedures, and DB structures.
• Translate manufacturing requirements into scalable technical solutions.
• Integrate backend services with frontend apps and external systems.
• Integrate MES and ERP with Level 2 automation systems.
• Debug, troubleshoot, and resolve API/database issues.
• Participate in code reviews and uphold best practices.
• Maintain API documentation using Swagger/OpenAPI.

Tuwaiq Casting & Forging is seeking an experienced Application Developer to join the IT Application Division. Reporting to the IT Application Manager, this role is responsible for building scalable backend services and APIs that support production systems, enterprise integrations, and real-time data processing across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain backend applications using Java and Spring Boot.
• Build and consume RESTful APIs for system integrations across ERP, MES, and third‑party platforms.
• Ensure API performance, security, and scalability standards are maintained.
• Develop and optimize SQL queries, stored procedures, and database structures.
• Translate manufacturing business requirements into technical solutions.
• Integrate backend services with frontend applications and external systems.
• Integrate MES and ERP systems with Level 2 (L2) automation systems.
• Debug and resolve application, API, and database‑related issues.
• Participate in code reviews and enforce best coding practices.
• Maintain comprehensive API documentation using Swagger and OpenAPI standards.

Requirements

Education & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in a related field.

Technical Competencies

• Strong experience in Java (JDK 8 or above).
• Hands‑on experience with Spring Boot and Spring MVC.
• Proven experience in developing and consuming REST APIs.
• Solid knowledge of API security practices including JWT, OAuth, and authentication/authorization mechanisms.
• Strong SQL skills covering joins, indexing, and query optimization.
• Experience with relational database management systems including SQL Server, Oracle, and MySQL.
• Familiarity with JSON, HTTP protocols, and API testing tools such as Postman and Swagger.
• Experience with version control tools, particularly Git.
