Job description
A Snapshot of your day

Your day involves leading and managing the mechanical field service activities for SGT-A35/A20 and SGT-A05 rotating equipment on complex projects in the Middle East, ensuring compliance, successful handovers to customers, and troubleshooting during emergencies. Additionally, you provide technical support, guidance, training, and leadership to junior engineers and customer personnel, while assisting sales and project management teams with technical clarifications and estimations.

How You’ll Make an Impact
  • Perform mechanical activities and implement hardware engineering modifications to ensure customer plants meet specifications.
  • Review complex plans, drawings, and schematics, providing ongoing guidance and collaborating with the Site Manager and Project Engineer to protect the company’s commercial interests during mechanical activities.
  • Represent the company in formal customer meetings to provide updates on mechanical progress, ensuring the company’s position is safeguarded, and attend debrief meetings to relay issues and design changes to engineering and production teams.
  • Conduct specialized troubleshooting activities worldwide, perform complex site surveys, and produce detailed design plans and technical reports for modifications, upgrades, and system reliability improvements.
  • Provide onsite training to junior Field Service Engineers and customer operators, staying updated on new products, vendor equipment, and commissioning procedures while contributing to root cause analysis and fault diagnostics.
  • Work safely in alignment with company protocols, participate in product training programs for skill development, and produce professional site visit reports for customer submission.
What You Bring
  • A Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Aeronautical, or equivalent education, or vocational qualifications with 8-10 years of related engineering experience in similar roles, particularly in Oil & Gas and Power Generation industries.
  • Proven expertise in commissioning, fault finding, maintenance, and servicing of power generation equipment, with hands‑on experience in AGT, GG & PT, and GN systems, as well as SGT certification being a merit.
  • Strong technical competency in new unit installation, commissioning, and troubleshooting for products like SGT-A35, A05 MGT600, and MGT-800, including NDT knowledge, rotating equipment field alignment, and supervision of lube oil & auxiliaries systems.
  • Ability to lead engine swap activities, independently manage 8K, 16K, 24K, and 40K inspections, interpret engineering and piping drawings, and report job results as required.
  • Highly motivated, proactive, and flexible with excellent communication skills, strong work ethic, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team, while demonstrating professionalism in customer interactions.
  • Willingness to travel extensively (70% domestic and international), including emergency mobilizations and extended periods away from home, with offshore working certificates and a KSA driving license (or willingness to obtain one) as added requirements.
