Job description
  • Support the management of the General Ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and fixed asset activities for SCA.
  • Maintain the Chart of Accounts, periodically reviewing and recommending relevant updates in accordance with the needs of SCA.
  • Prepare journal entries, accrual entries, recurring entries, as well as adjusting entries periodically.
  • Assist in monthly, quarterly, and end-of-year closing activities.
  • Perform reconciliations of all accounts between the GL and the sub-ledgers.
  • Handle and organize all financial documents (invoices, payment vouchers, archiving, and filing).
  • Process invoices for payment disbursement (by the treasury team) in accordance with defined processes.
  • Ensure accurate documentation and filing of all expenditures, including any soft-filing for official documentation.
  • Prepare accounts payable schedules revealing payment processing performance, adherence to payment terms, and variances.
  • Monitor petty cash and communicate payment orders to the Treasury team.
  • Process cash/billing, receivables invoices, and perform follow-ups.
  • Identify provisions for doubtful debts and bad debt write-offs in line with appropriate accounting standards.
  • Prepare aging reports on a monthly basis to monitor client balances and identify outstanding dues.
  • Update and maintain the fixed assets register periodically (acquisition, depreciation, transfer, disposal, etc.).
  • Conduct periodic physical asset counts.
