Job summary

مينا التميز is seeking an experienced Accountant to join our Saudi Arabia team. The ideal candidate will demonstrate hands-on expertise in Odoo ERP, accounting operations, reconciliations, accounts finalization, and VAT/ZATCA compliance in Saudi Arabia.

Key duties include managing day-to-day accounting in Odoo, performing complex reconciliations, posting journal entries, supporting month-end and year-end close, VAT reporting, and audit coordination.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting/finance or related field with recognized qualification.
• At least 3 years of hands-on accounting experience in Saudi Arabia.
• Mandatory 3+ years of Odoo ERP experience in accounting/finance.
• IFRS certification or equivalent knowledge required.
• Strong experience with GL, AP, AR, finalization and financial reporting.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day accounting operations using Odoo ERP incl. GL, AP, AR.
• Perform complex customer, vendor, and bank reconciliations.
• Prepare and post journal entries, accruals, prepayments, provisions and adjustments.
• Support month-end and year-end closing and accounts finalization.
• Prepare trial balances and financial schedules for statements.
• Handle VAT-related transactions and VAT reporting per ZATCA.
• Support audit preparation and respond to audit queries.
• Produce accounting reports and conduct detailed reconciliation analysis.
• Investigate discrepancies and resolve complex accounting issues.
• Use Excel for advanced analysis, pivots, lookups and reconciliation.

Job description

We are seeking an experienced Accountant to join our team in Saudi Arabia. The ideal candidate will have strong hands‑on experience in Odoo ERP, accounting operations, reconciliations, accounts finalization, and Saudi VAT/ZATCA requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage day‑to‑day accounting operations using Odoo ERP, including transaction processing, GL, AP, and AR.
• Perform complex and high-volume customer, vendor, and bank reconciliations.
• Prepare and post journal entries, accruals, prepayments, provisions, and adjustments.
• Assist with month‑end and year‑end closing and accounts finalization.
• Prepare trial balances, financial schedules, and supporting documents for financial statements.
• Handle VAT‑related transactions, VAT reporting, and tax invoices in compliance with ZATCA requirements in Saudi Arabia.
• Support audit preparation and coordination, including preparing supporting schedules and resolving audit queries.
• Prepare accounting and financial reports and conduct detailed reconciliation analysis.
• Investigate accounting discrepancies, identify root causes, and independently resolve complex issues.
• Utilize advanced Excel for accounting analysis, including formulas, Pivot Tables, lookups, and reconciliation analysis.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field — minimum 4-year degree or equivalent recognized qualification.
• Minimum 3 years of proven, hands‑on accounting experience in Saudi Arabia.
• Minimum 3 years of proven, hands‑on Odoo ERP experience in accounting/finance — mandatory with no exception.
• IFRS certification with strong knowledge of accounting principles.
• Strong experience in GL, AP, AR, accounts finalization, and financial reporting.
• Expert‑level experience in complex customer, vendor, and bank reconciliations.
• Strong knowledge of VAT, ZATCA requirements, VAT reporting, and Saudi tax invoices.
• Experience supporting month‑end/year‑end closing and audits.
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills, including advanced formulas, Pivot Tables, lookups, and reconciliation analysis.
• Ability to independently analyze and resolve complex accounting discrepancies.
• All relevant academic and professional certificates must be verifiable.
• SOCPA registration/membership is an added advantage.
