We are currently seeking an experienced Java engineer to join our team and shape the future of global commerce with MODIFI.

Your impact:

• Create, extend, and test microservices written in Java / Spring Boot, utilizing related technologies.
• Write clean, maintainable code following best practices.
• Analyze non-technical requirements and discuss solutions with the team.
• Collaborate closely with Frontend Engineers and Product Managers to build top-tier products.
• Extend and improve the data model.
• Take full ownership of your code throughout the development lifecycle.
• Fix bugs rapidly in production environments.

This is a hybrid onsite position based in Berlin.

Requirements:

• 4-7 years of software development experience.
• At least 4 years of professional experience developing, maintaining, and deploying microservices with Spring Boot.
• Expertise in Java 17 or newer and designing modern REST APIs.
• Strong knowledge of Spring Data, data modeling, and SQL databases.

Nice-to-have:

• Experience with asynchronous/event-driven systems.
• Strong team collaboration skills and a proactive attitude.
• Comfort working in fast-paced, collaborative environments.
• Fluency in English.
