About the Role

As one of the world's leading digital transformation service providers, we are expanding our Data Practice across Europe to meet increasing client demand. We seek a Director of Data Analytics in Germany, focusing on ML and AI. This senior role offers the opportunity to work with cutting-edge technologies, deliver ML/AI solutions, and collaborate closely with clients and global data teams.

Responsibilities

1. Provide technical leadership and strategic direction in ML and AI, guiding the design, development, and implementation of solutions for clients.
2. Engage with clients to understand their business challenges and communicate how ML/AI can address them.
3. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define project scope, develop datasets, and apply ML algorithms.
4. Identify new ML/AI opportunities through solution selling and securing funding, engaging senior decision-makers.
5. Shape ML solutions, scope and price engagements, and lead transition from sales to delivery.
6. Maintain strong client relationships through effective project delivery and communication.
7. Engage with executive stakeholders to drive enterprise-wide growth initiatives.
8. Stay updated with ML/AI advancements and recommend new approaches.
9. Support sales activities by assessing data opportunities and responding to RFPs.

Requirements

1. Extensive experience in senior/leadership roles within Data, Analytics, ML, or AI with proven solution delivery.
2. Knowledge of architectures like CNN/RNN, Transformers, LLM, Multimodal, Foundation models.
3. Solid understanding of classical and Deep Learning ML algorithms.
4. Experience engaging and influencing senior stakeholders to fund or sell ML/AI projects.
5. Strong communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences, with collaboration across geographies.
6. Proficiency in Python and ML frameworks such as PyTorch/TensorFlow.
7. Excellent problem-solving skills translating complex requirements into solutions.
8. Fluent German and English language skills.
9. Bachelor's or master's degree in relevant fields or equivalent experience.
