The Role

Amazon seeks Site Process Engineers within the Process Engineering (PE) team, based at an FC (Fulfillment Center). The PE team drives process stabilization, standardization, and continuous improvement across the EU Customer Fulfillment Network. The site process engineer will work closely with FC operations, regional PEs, and other stakeholders to implement initiatives, build networks, and ensure compliance within set timelines. Responsibilities include:

  • Identifying top variation reduction opportunities by analyzing processes and input metrics, starting with the bottom 50% processes.
  • Auditing execution of standard actions, prioritizing overdue SIMs.
  • Monitoring daily input metrics, collecting feedback, and updating on ongoing actions.
  • Reviewing open SIMs weekly, engaging stakeholders to complete actions, and closing compliance SIMs after three weeks.
  • Using reports and dashboards to validate results, achieve targets, and generate savings.
  • Collaborating with regional and site PEs, leveraging benchmarking to reduce variation.
  • Driving continuous improvement initiatives and sharing best practices across FCs.
  • Supporting deployment of network initiatives, ensuring timely execution and compliance.
  • Participating in daily Gemba walks, organizing weekly leadership meetings, and building strong relationships with site leadership.
  • Leading or supporting EU projects, managing multiple FCs, and traveling as needed (0-10%).

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • English language proficiency (C1 level)
  • Experience in Industrial Engineering, Business Process Engineering, Quality, Operations, or Logistics

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen methodologies
  • Knowledge of change management and continuous improvement techniques
  • Strong analytical, communication, and presentation skills, especially with senior leadership
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and motivate teams
