Mackinnon Bruce International, an Executive Search Consultancy across the global Industrial and Environmental industries, are working exclusively alongside a nationally recognized market leader within the Water, Industrial and Process markets, who are looking to hire an Area Account Manager to join their growing team in Eastern Germany.

A growing and nationally recognized leader within the Water, Industrial and Process markets.

Location

This role will be a hybrid working opportunity, based in Eastern Germany. This is a home-based role that will also involve travelling to both existing and prospective clients in the region.

The Role & Responsibilities

In the role of Area Account Manager, you will be responsible for business development, sales, and key account management.

You will have established contacts and a developed network of clients across Eastern Germany. As the Area Account Manager, you will focus on the successful development and activities across a wide portfolio of clients including Water Treatment, Paper Manufacturing, Petrochemical, and Water Process Chemical related clients.

  1. Undertake business development activities across Eastern Germany, focusing on strategic business development and marketing initiatives.
  2. Utilise and leverage your network across Eastern Germany, focusing on clients in Water Treatment, Paper Manufacturing, Petrochemical, and Water Process Chemical sectors.
  3. Propose sales pricing, economic indicators, and analyze potential industry competitors.
  4. Provide technical understanding and support to existing customers across a wide range of products and solutions.
  5. Conduct routine analysis and prepare service and annual reports.
  6. Work closely with internal teams and stakeholders to collaborate, analyze, and process data.
  7. Manage and maintain customer-related data and internal documentation.

Requirements & Qualifications

  • Ideally educated with a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering or equivalent.
  • Demonstrable professional experience in Sales and Business Development of Water and Process Chemicals.
  • Fluent in German and English.
  • Excellent communication skills – both written and spoken.
  • Ability to use MS Office software applications.
