We are seeking an experienced and talented Imaging Algorithms Software Engineer (m/f/d) to join our team. This individual will work on image processing algorithms for our x-ray devices and enhance our image quality.

Your Role

• Improve x-ray image quality in dental medical devices in collaboration with product management, production, dentists, and orthodontists.
• Develop algorithms and software (reconstruction, calibration, image filtering, artifact handling, compression) within a scrum team.
• Stay updated with current technology by reading papers and attending conferences.
• Assist the product owner in defining epics, writing user stories, and acceptance criteria.
• Ensure unit and integration test coverage.
• Analyze image quality issues in production and the field.

Your Profile

Education: MS or PhD in computer science, mathematics, physics, or related engineering disciplines.
Experience:

• 3+ years in Imaging, Image Processing, or Computer Vision.
• Experience processing large data sets.
• Experience in software development.
• Knowledge of CI/CD, Docker, and Cloud Computing (GCP, Kubernetes) is advantageous.
• Experience in medical imaging, especially CT imaging, and medical device development is an advantage.

Skills and Capabilities

• Strong problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in C++ or similar languages.
• Python knowledge is a plus.
• Fluent in German and English, both written and spoken.
• Self-organized, eager to learn and share knowledge.
• Tech enthusiast with a broad overview, open-minded, communicative, committed, and goal-oriented.
