About Our Client:

Our client is involved in developing and ensuring the quality of a cutting-edge data analytics and AI platform. This platform serves as the foundation for data engineering projects in a multi-tenant setup, including the technical infrastructure as an on-premise solution in a data center. It also involves integration and development of software systems for virtualization, containerization, automation, and monitoring. Close collaboration with federal ministries and data-driven projects is a key focus.

Your Responsibilities:

• Develop and manage a comprehensive test strategy and implement partial test concepts for the on-premise data platform
• Plan and execute testing activities, driving automation strategies forward
• Ensure platform quality through technical and organizational measures
• Collaborate with stakeholders such as architects, (lead) product owners, and service & quality management
• Lead and support test engineers within development teams
• Define quality criteria (quality gates) for platform infrastructure and select suitable testing tools
• Manage integration of testing tools into the existing system landscape
• Define frameworks for Behavior-Driven Development (BDD) testing and test automation code
• Take responsibility for test result reporting and continuously optimize test processes and cases

Your Profile:

• Degree in Computer Science or a related field with extensive experience in developing and documenting test cases (functionality, API, performance, integration, usability)
• Experience leading teams in development or testing environments
• Knowledge of unit and infrastructure testing in containerized environments
• Hands-on experience testing microservices in complex architectures with CI/CD setups such as GitLab pipelines or Jenkins, plus basic DevOps understanding
• Strong expertise in test automation (frontend and backend), ideally with frameworks like Selenium or Cypress
• Experience with Behavior-Driven Testing and programming languages like Gherkin for end-to-end, UI, and functional tests
• Solid knowledge in agile test management (Scrum) and using ticket/documentation systems (Jira, Confluence)
• Experience with component, acceptance, integration, load and stress testing, as well as performance measurement and debugging tools like Postman or SoapUI
