In this position you will report directly to the Site Leader of Neuss and will be responsible for all Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) related topics for campus Neuss and 4 Satellite Offices in Germany. In a global matrix organization, you will be responsible for coordinating, leading and developing EHS topics to make an important contribution to the further success and growth of the company.

  • You will be responsible for the tasks of the occupational safety specialist (Fachkraft für Arbeitssicherheit) and the leading EHS specialist for the Yanfeng Campus in Neuss and Satellite Offices in Germany
  • You will support the managers in all questions of EHS as main contact person for the EHS management system (prepare and implement EHS systems and procedures, trainings and improvement projects)
  • You conduct internal and support external audits (ISO 14001 and ISO 45001), track and improve EHS KPIs, EHS risk assessments and corrective measures
  • You will support the management in the preparation and updating of risk assessments and in the maintenance of the risk database
  • Continuous, autonomous and active review and further development of current and future EHS standards.
  • Independent development of new ideas / concepts and proactive use of existing room for maneuver.
  • Documentation and evaluation of the causes of accidents at work, including sustainable introduction of measures / instruments for accident prevention
  • Responsible for the conception and implementation of occupational safety training and instruction.

Your profile :

  • Successfully completed technical studies (e.g. safety engineering, production engineering, machine building, electro-technical, environmental technology etc.) or completed training as a technician or master craftsman, state-certified technician or comparable
  • 5 years professional experience in similar positions on regional or plant level as well as experience in sustainability projects, preferably in the manufacturing / automotive industry
  • native German speaking skills, good communication in English
  • desirable are some of the following additional qualifications (not mandatory) :
  • advantage to have internal auditor certificate (ISO 14001 : 2015 or ISO45001 : 2018)
