Transdev Group is seeking a Junior Project Officer based in Leipzig, Germany.

In Germany since 1998, Transdev is the leading private rail passenger operator and has helped revitalize regions by deploying services better adapted to passengers’ needs. We operate 20 Operation & Maintenance contracts, covering 55 million train km for 118 million passengers annually. Our fleet comprises 472 trainsets.

Responsibilities

The Junior Project Officer will be responsible for:

  • Supporting operational planning and implementation of battery-powered traction vehicles in collaboration with specialist departments and train drivers.
  • Analyzing and documenting operating data, charging cycles, and performance indicators for the new vehicles.
  • Working with experts to develop training concepts and operational processes.
  • Serving as the point of contact for questions regarding the new vehicles, both internally and externally.

Required Education and Experience:

  • Master’s degree (University, Engineering school, Business school) with a specialization in Project Management.
  • Initial experience in railway operations or technical project work is advantageous.

  • Interest in innovative railway technology and sustainable mobility.
  • Good communication skills and a structured approach to work.
  • Openness to learning new things and a high level of self-motivation.

Language Requirements

  • Proficiency in German (B2 / C1).
  • Proficiency in English (B2 / C1).

Additional Information

  • Reports to: Managing Director.
  • Travel: 2-3 days per month within the region.
