Job Overview:

We are seeking a Product Owner with a strong technical background and experience in the battery industry, analytics, or lifecycle management systems. You will play a pivotal role in defining the vision and driving the execution of our battery analytics and lifecycle management solution. As Product Owner, you will lead product management and work closely with business development, software development, UX design, and stakeholders to deliver cutting-edge solutions that meet the evolving needs of the battery industry. This is an exciting opportunity to shape the future of energy storage and the circular economy of batteries through innovative technology solutions.

Your profile

You will

  • Product Vision & Strategy: Collaborate with stakeholders to re-/define and articulate the product vision, roadmap, and strategy for Circunomics’ battery analytics and lifecycle management solution, including marketplace / e-procurement functionalities.
  • Market Research & Analysis: Stay abreast of industry trends, regulatory changes, technological advancements, competitive landscape, and customer needs to continuously evolve the product offering and inform product development decisions.
  • Product Backlog Management: Own, manage, and groom the product backlog, ensuring that features and improvements are well-defined, organized, prioritized, and aligned with company goals and customer needs.
  • Feature Development: Translate business requirements into clear, concise, actionable user stories and acceptance criteria focusing on battery analytics, lifecycle optimization, and marketplace integration.
  • Customer-Centric Focus: Understand the needs of battery manufacturers, fleet operators, energy providers, BESS manufacturers, and recyclers, ensuring that the platform addresses their pain points and drives value through predictive analytics, AI insights, and efficient lifecycle management.
  • Data-Driven Decisions: Leverage data insights and analytics to inform product decisions, measure success, and continuously improve platform performance.
  • Product Documentation & Stakeholder Communication: Maintain clear and concise product documentation, user guides, and training materials for internal teams, stakeholders, and external customers.
  • Product Launch & Iteration: Support the launch of new features and products, gather user feedback, and iterate based on data and insights.

You have

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in a software/technology-focused environment (e.g., SaaS, PaaS, AI, IoT, data analytics) as a Product Owner, Product Manager, or similar role, ideally within the battery industry.
  • Strong understanding of battery business and technologies, lifecycle management, or analytics platforms. Experience with AI-powered analytics, marketplace solutions, or data platforms is highly desirable.
  • Proven experience working in agile development environments, including managing sprints, backlogs, and user stories.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills to lead cross-functional teams and collaborate effectively with engineers, designers, and business stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to make data-driven decisions and prioritize based on impact.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills, with the ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear business requirements.
  • A proactive problem-solving approach to identify issues and find creative solutions to enhance product functionality and user experience.
  • Experience working with external stakeholders such as battery manufacturers, OEMs, recyclers, or utility companies is a plus.
  • Passion for sustainability and a desire to make a positive impact on the world.

  • Experience with data visualization and reporting tools.
  • German language skills are a plus.
