Job Title: Software Engineer with Focus on Data Processing (m/f/x) • Mannheim, Deutschland

We are seeking a skilled Software Engineer to join our team, focusing on data processing and cloud infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have experience in designing high-performance data pipelines, working with AWS, and participating in all phases of software development within an Agile environment.

2. Designing and developing high-performance data processing pipelines for large geospatial datasets on cloud infrastructure.
3. Building and maintaining scalable, reliable AWS cloud infrastructure.
4. Participating in the complete software delivery lifecycle, including design, implementation, testing, deployment, and support.
5. Engaging in Agile practices such as sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.
6. Collaborating with cross-functional teams including Product Managers, UX/UI Designers, Architects, Testers, and Customer Support.
7. Contributing as a proactive member of the global John Deere developer community.

1. Qualifications:
2. University degree in Business Informatics, Computer Science, or a related field.
3. Over 2 years of professional experience as a backend software developer, with proficiency in Python 3 and related tools.
4. Strong knowledge and practical experience in linear algebra.
5. Experience with unit and integration testing using mock frameworks.
6. Deep understanding of modern backend architecture, including micro-services, serverless solutions, and containerization.
7. Fluent in English; proficiency in German is a plus.
