Senior Data Engineer

We're looking for an experienced Senior Data Engineer (m / f / d) to join our portfolio company and support the team in their data strategies.

In your day-to-day work, you will collaborate with a team of highly ambitious and knowledgeable Engineers, tackling complex problems.

Its mission is to unlock the potential of cross-border supply for the Western Market by providing global access to high-quality products through an innovative platform. Since launching in January 2022, the company has operated discreetly, serving hundreds of companies without public profile or media coverage.

In this role, you’ll:

• Craft, clean, and optimise large datasets for various business use cases
• Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business needs and develop data intelligence solutions
• Apply machine learning techniques to extract insights and perform predictive analytics
• Design and implement real-time data processing and analysis solutions to support dynamic business needs
• Analyze repetitive and predictive tasks in after-sales processes to understand customer behavior, predict needs, and automate routines
• Lead the development of a robust data platform, including data storage, pipeline architecture, and data warehouse infrastructure

Your Profile

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; Master's preferred
• Proven experience in data engineering with big data technologies and platforms
• Strong skills in machine learning and statistical analysis
• Hands-on experience with real-time data processing frameworks such as Kafka or Spark
• Proficiency in data platform development and cloud technologies, preferably with exposure to Databricks
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills for effective teamwork
• Familiarity with buyer experience optimization strategies, including catalog management and pricing algorithms
• Ability to adapt to a fast-paced, evolving environment and drive results

Please note, support is required at our Berlin office, and EU work eligibility is necessary.
