Key job responsibilities

1. Drive and participate in national and international accounting projects
2. Collaborate globally within Amazon, liaising with Tax and Legal departments
3. Integrate new regions into existing processes
4. Manage month-end, quarter-end, and year-end financial closing
5. Assess and evaluate GAAP differences
6. Improve accounting processes, workflows, and implement best practices

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field
• Strong knowledge of US-GAAP or IFRS and other local GAAP
• Several years of experience in accounting and financial reporting
• Operational accounting experience
• Excellent communication skills in fluent English
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Experience identifying data issues, root cause analysis, and creating escalation plans
• Entrepreneurial, proactive attitude with innovative thinking
